Homecoming Football game Turns FATAL during the celebration

Orangeburg, South Carolina -Tragedy at Homecoming: Football Game Celebration Turns Deadly

What began as joyful cheers and celebration quickly are suddenly plagued with a fatal tragedy as many run for their lives while a “gunman opened fire’.

TWO separate shootings in Orangeburg, South Carolina, home of the South Carolina State University occurred on campus.

A woman was discovered dead after the initial shooting and a man remains in the hospital after being struck during the HBCU’s homecoming celebration. The initial incident took place in the Hugine Suites which is a STUDENT HOUSING facility on campus. South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) reported that two incidents didn’t appear to be connected. Regardly, a 19 year old female student was pronounced dead at MUSC health in Orangeburg, SC.

The second victim was injured and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The campus was placed on immediate lockdown and all scheduled events related to the Homecoming event were canceled. Here is another grave example of a tragic incident once again happening on a (University) school campus.

We applaud the men and women who were the initial responders for their assistance to maintain safety and tended to the injured.
