An act of “MENACING” as police charge former substitute teacher for initiating a false call of an ACTIVE SHOOTER on 5 school campuses
A 58 year old licensed substitute teacher was formerly arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff office just days ago in Shreveport Louisiana. This Afro American teacher was charged with FAKING active shooter alerts on these 5 campuses in this region
The Caddo Parish School District officials alerted the Sheriff office on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 that possible threats of “grave injury or death” were going to occur on thieve 5 campuses. She was charged with activating the SCHOOL DISTRICTS EMERGENCY SYSTEM to report acts of an active shooter were in effect at each campus. In light of an emergency of this sort the campus officials promptly engaged into their safety protocols to protect the lives of students and staff while determining the factual legitimacy of these threats.
With measures in place, the threats were determined to be not credible, and no active threat was identified. However, the investigation determined that the substitute teacher was the individual who initiated the threats. She was subsequently arrested, charged and terminated. It was also discovered that she had not been assigned to any district office or school on the day of this incident.
The motive behind the employee’s actions has yet to be determined, including why she used her school district credentials to carry out such serious acts and create a sense of fear and unrest among the staff and students at the affected schools.
We at Active Shooter Assessment and Assurance (ASAA) commend and appreciate the school district’s proactive safety measures and preparedness strategies, developed in coordination with the local Sheriff’s Office, to ensure a swift and effective response in the event of a serious or potentially deadly threat.
ASAA’s goal is to partner with the same proactive efforts and support educational institutions of all sizes in developing and implementing effective safety protocols, while also partnering with local first responders to establish a comprehensive, coordinated plan for addressing potential threats quickly, safely, and effectively. But it must be noted, nothing is fool proof yet having some plan of action is greater than having no plan at all. Our motto, “NO PLANNED-PLAN TO FAIL”.

California State Bill 553, was signed by Governor Newsom on July 1, 2024, addressing the rise in violent incidents in workplaces, schools, open arenas, and other public spaces. The bill requires a specific PLAN to stay aware and prevent dangerous acts. Knowledge is power, and while we cannot read the minds of others, we must remain aware of situations that may arise at a moment’s notice and have trained actions for defense, escape, assisting others, and communicating with FIRST RESPONDERS. CAL‑OSHA has been assigned by the Governor as the primary authority to assist and enforce California Labor Codes 4161.7 and 4161.9, mandated by SB553 to establish these safety plans in public areas.
We are Active Shooter Assessment and Assurance, work directly with CAL‑OSHA.
