Active Shooter Incident Turns Bronx Park Competitive Sports Event Deadly
Active Shooter Assessment ASAA Highlights the Critical Importance of Active Shooter Preparedness and Public Safety Following NYC and Bronx Park Tragedies
The most devastating, unforeseen, unexpected and unwarranted times continue to arise in various cities and states of our Nation. New York City and its suburb Baychester in the Bronx have both recently experienced a series of back-to-back incidents involving active shooters. These attacks, ranging from minor injuries to fatalities, were carried out with high-caliber weapons and no apparent motive, targeting defenseless individuals without warning.
The recent tragic incident located at Hagen Park left 5 shot and one fatality. This unforeseen shooting appeared during a basketball tournament at the park but involved possibly multiple shooters. This matter goes far beyond what is considered a “common active shooter” as it entailed multiple SHOOTERS resulting in several victims being injured or killed by means and ways of lethal weapons.
These “active shooter” locations of occurrences has broadened and has become a heightened, compelling concern for citizens to congregate for pleasurable times in public arenas. Attempts to prepare, prevent, be provisional and or proactive are of general concern and bring major concern to local law enforcement, City and State governments who are sworn to protect the public.
Life has become increasingly difficult and unpredictable, making everyday enjoyment more challenging. Now more than ever, we must help one another—just as we would in a workplace emergency.
