SB 553 Compliance and Workplace Safety Regarding Employee Termination Gone Wrong

How CA SB 553 Pertains to The ”HOSTILE” termination / Personal Revenge

California SB 553 law mandates comprehensive workplace violence prevention plans (WVPPs) across all sectors—choosing the right partner for compliance is critical.

PREPARED -PROACTIVE – PROVISIONAL

The Hostile Termination Which Becomes Dangerous

Many who have experienced a termination of oneself or witnessed that of a fellow co-worker who personally disagreed with the process become a person of anger, desperate, dismantled and seeking retaliation.

Those who have been considered “unfairly” terminated and seeking retaliation revenge have known to return to the place of employment in a rage and armed with live weapons to hurt or kill those who in their mind did them wrong.

This Work place Violence surprisingly has risen in and about the employment environments. There also has been that “inflamed” spouse or partner in a relationship that went bad by one and they too enter the work place to get revenge.

Unforeseen Termination Hostility

The unforeseen actions by others in just of the two above mentioned incidents can cause havoc in the work place resulting in a tragedy. These and other incident’s which are resounding around and within the work place are grave concerns of our State Senate who enacted a bill (SB553) that Govern Newsom approved in September of 2023

As a result of this law abiding bill, as of July 1, 2024, the Governor has granted CAL/OSHA to enforce a required “plan” by each business in the state. This will give each employer and their staff a semi-readiness in the event of this horrific incident. It is well known that “No plan = Plan to fail”

Active Shooter Assessment Assurance may be of assistance to help you meet these goals and needs of the required bill SB553. We offer to help establish, preparation, proactive and provisional solutions to create a hopeful safeguard in the preservation of life.
